With three little ones at home, chaos reigns! It's noisy and busy, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Kenley Mae Hampton
born Sept 12, 2005 12:10am
7 lbs 2 oz.

So Katie had a beautiful baby girl. She's already getting plenty of attention from the family. We want to drive up every day to see her.
Katie had been having contractions since early Saturday morning and checked into the hospital Sunday at 10:30am.
By 1pm Mom and I had joined Katie and James. Once Katie had her epidural we enjoyed many rounds of Phase 10. Katie also enjoyed many rounds of ice chips.
Around 9 pm Katie started pushing. She worked very hard, but Kenley wasn't making progress, and her heart rate started to spike. Around 11 the doctor decided she would need a C-section. James and Katie went into the operating room a little before midnight and James came out a half-hour later with the cutest baby ever.
All the grandparents and I huddled at the nursery window staring at the little babe until they took her back to be with Katie.
Around 2 we all got to go see Katie and hold Kenley. Both of them are doing wonderfully. Kenley has crazy, spikey brown hair and big blue eyes. When she's awake she's pretty content and just looks around frantically learning about her surroundings.
We missed James's family and Scott but G&G Hampton and Uncle Scott are planning trips soon. James and I were hurriedly texting them last night with pictures while the technologically-challenged parents looked on.
Geeky, proud family :)
