This week my cousin Amy came down to help us plant a vegetable garden. We planted green onions, red onions, white onions, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi, Swiss chard, beets, radishes, red & green leaf lettuce, a few types of peas, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumber, and spinach. Whew! I hope we've got the energy to keep up with this beast of a garden!
The girls also planted a Giant Cabbage to enter in the state fair this summer.
And this kids planted their own little gardens as well.
The kids' garden.
The 2-family garden, going from the grass where I'm standing, out to the string by the tomato plants (heaven help us!).

Let's be honest, Katie. You don't even know what half of those vegetables are.
Nevertheless, I'm proud of you.
What a dream garden! Guess you'll be learning how to can later this summer! I just harvested my first potatoes. Kinda like hunting for Easter eggs: "Here's another one!"

This looks amazing. I will be helping with the weeding.
What a fun thing to do, especially with the kids! I can't wait to read about the progress!
